Our client is a successful business in the Omagh area. They are now recruiting for a Financial Accountant to cover an 8 month maternity leave.

Reporting into the Financial Controller the Financial Accountant is a key role in the preparation of month

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of quarterly financial reports and notes
  • Preparation of statutory accounts and notes thereon in compliance with IFRS
  • Support audit process at year end and half year
  • Preparation of weekly cash updates and bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of monthly cash calls
  • Preparation of monthly VAT returns
  • Documenting internal control procedures and recommending process improvements

Essential Criteria

  • Fully qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years PQE gained in a commercial/industrial environment
  • Extensive experience of accounts preparation and statutory accounting
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to analyse data
  • IT literate with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to make continuous improvements to systems/processes
