Financial Accountant

Our client is a successful business in the Omagh area. They are now recruiting for a Financial Accountant to cover an 8 month maternity leave.
Reporting into the Financial Controller the Financial Accountant is a key role in the preparation of month
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of quarterly financial reports and notes
- Preparation of statutory accounts and notes thereon in compliance with IFRS
- Support audit process at year end and half year
- Preparation of weekly cash updates and bank reconciliations
- Preparation of monthly cash calls
- Preparation of monthly VAT returns
- Documenting internal control procedures and recommending process improvements
Essential Criteria
- Fully qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years PQE gained in a commercial/industrial environment
- Extensive experience of accounts preparation and statutory accounting
- Proven analytical skills and ability to analyse data
- IT literate with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Microsoft Excel
- Ability to make continuous improvements to systems/processes
