Audit Services Manager

We have an excellent opportunity within the Business Services Centre of a Global Manufacturing company. As part of continued growth and expansion, they are recruiting for an Audit Service Manager. The Audit Service Manager will be responsible for effectively planning and performing audits as well as evaluating audit/test results and providing Management with sound business recommendations to improve the overall control environment and/or improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, Execution/Wrap-up of Internal Audits and SOX Testing, including, but not limited to:
  • Performance of specific risk assessment to determine proper areas of focus
  • Review and customization of audit work programs
  • Execution of audit steps and preparation/review of audit work papers
  • Identification of internal control weaknesses and practical recommendations for remediation
  • Writing audit reports and presenting to and discussing with Management
  • Follow-up on remediation efforts
  • Assisting business units, where appropriate, in developing prioritized action plans to address control weaknesses
  • Special projects, as required

Essential Criteria

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 - 7 years' experience, preferably including Big 4 public accounting, manufacturing experience
  • In-depth knowledge of internal controls including ITGC as well as ability to identify opportunities for improvement and offer practical solutions
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to focus on desired outcome
  • Flexibility
  • Ability to work on teams comprised of internal and external resources
  • Business process improvement orientation

Desirable Criteria

  • Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • International experience a plus
  • Prior controllership experience
  • Experience with data analytics and related tools
